Peshtan
Peshtan is 16 km away of east Tepelena town, on the left bank of Vjosa River, where the rivers of Zagori and Vjosa join. It is located in the center of one of the largest gorges in the Balkans. The Këlcyra Gorge is 13 km long with rare natural monuments and historical battlefields, which range from the time of the Roman Empire to the Italy – Greek War. This gorge has a very distinctive rock formation; the Vjosa River breaks between two mountains with a maximum width of 1 km and with crystal springs pouring into Vjosa creating waterfalls with a rare beauty. The gorge is found between the mountain ranges of Trebeshine – Dhëmbel – Nemërçkë and Shëndëlli – Lunxhëri – Bureto
